🎓 Essential Qualifications and Experience
1. Project Scientist – B (Medical)
- Essential Qualification: MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BAMS.
- Preference: Master’s degree in Public Health / Community Medicine / Epidemiology / Health Management / Life Sciences or related disciplines.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public health research or project coordination (preferably in NCD or field epidemiology).
- Experience in managing field research teams and working with health departments.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (Excel/SPSS/STATA) and digital data collection tools.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language.
2. Field Supervisor
- Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health/Nursing / Life Sciences / Social Work / Allied Health Sciences24.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in community-based health projects, preferably NCD or surveillance studies.
- Familiarity with field data collection using digital tools.
- Skills: Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills27. Willingness to travel extensively in field areas28.
3. Multi-tasking staff
- Essential Qualification: High school or equivalent.
📝 Key General Terms and Conditions
- Temporary Basis: All positions are purely on a temporary basis30. The incumbents will have no claim for regular appointment at ICMR-NIIRNCD.
- Verification: Candidates must submit the duly filled application form with one set of photocopies of all certificates and must bring all original certificates for verification32.
- Age and Eligibility: Age, qualification, experience, etc., will be reckoned as on the date of the Walk-in-interview / written test33. Experience will only be counted from the date of completion of the minimum essential educational qualification34.
- Existing Employees: Candidates already employed must submit a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) from their present Employer at the time of the Walk-in-interview / written test.
- Multiple Applications: Candidates applying for more than one project position must separately apply for each position.
- No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance or Dearness Allowance will be given for attending the Walk-in-interview / written test.
- Change of Date/Cancellation: The date of the Interview/written test may be changed, and the Director reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions or cancel the recruitment. Candidates are advised to check the website regularly.
🔍 Selection Procedure
- Written Test: In case of more than 30 candidates, a written test may be taken.
- Qualifying Marks: SC/ST: 35%; UR/OBC/EWS: 40%41.
- Interview Shortlisting (if Written Test is held): Candidates scoring qualifying marks will be interviewed.
- Project Scientist – B (Medical): Generally, Up to Top 8 candidates.
- Field Supervisor: Generally, Up to Top 40 candidates.
- Multi-tasking staff: Generally, Up to Top 10 candidates.
- Final Merit: Prepared based on the marks of the written test and interview. If no written test is conducted (less than 30 candidates), the merit is based on marks obtained in the interview.
